In this video, we will show how to add a new product in posibolt.
So lets login with pin number.
Go to home page, then go to Administration, then product administration, here you can see options like add product, edit product, copy and Discount percentage. So click here to add new product.
This is Add product page, here enter all details of product, some fields are optional and some are mandatory.
Enter UPC, that is Universal product code or Bar-Code, normally Bar-Code is 16 digits , it should be unique, no 2 bar-codes can be same.
SKU is stock keeping unit. use it for internal purpose. enter sku or tick here for auto generated sku.
Give name to the product.Name should be unique
Then give some description about the product.
Select particular organization to which the product belong or select * if it belongs to all organization.
Enter the product category to which this product belongs.
Select type of tax here.
UOM is unit of measure, like product may be each or kilo or litre etc.
So pen is each.
Enter units per pack, if we are providing pack of 6 or 12 pens, enter that here.
Enter group of product group1 and group 2 . you can select it from drop down or can also create from this page. these are optional.
You can add image of the product, so browse and select some image here. Remember image should be like an icon or small size image
Select image type from here. Image we used in posibolt is always pos image
Tick if the product is active or not.
Select product type.if it is item or service. We can sometime provide service of the product.
Select bar-code type here.
Select attributes of product like if it has serial number , lot number, expiry date, BOM etc.
Click here for advance settings of the product.
Here u can add weight, length, thickness and volume etc, we will skip in this case of pen.
This is for consignment purchase.
we will have a another detailed video about consignment purchase.
Enter the purchase price, sales price and limit price of the product to all mandatory price-lists.
Please remember that we use limit price because Product cant be sold beyond this limit price.
Prices will be tax exclusive and tax inclusive.
After adding price, save the product. If we skip any mandatory price list, it will show error.
So we will add price list to another mandatory price list.
Select date from the calendar from which product is available or active, default is today or current date.
& finally click on save.
Thats it product is finally created.
And you can see all details of that product.
If required in future, you can edit the product also.
